About Me

I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Engineering Technology at Purdue University, mainly focusing on Machine Learning (ML) in Healthcare Technology. I received my B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh, in 2016 and my M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Dhaka University of Engineering Technology, Bangladesh, 2019. I have also been serving as an assistant professor at the Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Chattogram, Bangladesh. My research interests include Computer Vision (CV), ML in healthcare technology, biomedical informatics, NLP, and data analytics.

Machine Learning and AI Co-op 

Nokia Bell Labs [January 15, 2024 - Present]

  • Working of Medical Image Segmentation utilizing the multi-expert annotations and multi-site data to reduce the inter-rater disagreement and increase inter-rater consistency.

Graduate Research Assistant

School of Engineering Technology, Purdue University, USA [August 2022 - Present]

  • Medical Image Segmentation
  • Developed novel Deep Learning Architectures and published them in reputed CV conferences.
  • Proposed a memory-enabled decoder coupled with MaxViT for medical image segmentation.
  • Working with light-weight architectures for segmenting medical images
  • Respiratory Audio Signal Processing Using Deep LearningWorking with audio data to classify abnormalities, predict lung capacities, and virtual augment of lung expansion using advanced Deep Learning techniques.
  • Designing Pure Audio Convolutional Transformer (PACT) for respiratory audio classification.
  • Developing problem-specific advanced CNN architectures based on VGG, ResNet, Unet, Alexnet; RNN architectures like LSTM, GRU, CRNN; and Vision Transformer
  • Published couple of articles from this research in some reputed CV conferences.

  • Abstractive Text Summarization using Peephole Convolutional LSTM (PCLSTM)
  • Developed a method using PCLSTM for abstractive text summarization that outperformed the state-of-the-art models.
  • Optimized parameters of the developed model using response surface methodology in combination with central composite design.
